Santa brought my gift early…

linen stitch

A new (to me) camera. I love it. It’s the one I’ve wanted for a few years now, so I’m quite pleased. I wish I had more time to play with it though. Seen above is the scarflet that Adrienne and I have been working on together. I just have to sew my buttons on. Meanwhile, Adrienne’s is probably stuck in the bottom of her purse somewhere, hehehe.

Weekend…

I don’t talk much about my weekends, but we tend to do a lot. One thing I enjoy about this area is having choices. Back in Yeehawsville, I was happy if there was one thing happening one weekend a month. Now, I can choose from a couple of different activities every weekend. Love that. We went ice-skating and the kids had a blast. I used to love ice-skating, even have my own skates and crazy colored custom skate bag. But now? Not so much. I am too afraid to fall now. Hmm…anyone care to psychoanalyze that? (No, don’t.)

Me watching my kid about to hit the ice. He was ok…really. They all did well.

We also went to this fake Smuck E Sneeze nearby at MIL’s request . I hated it almost as much as the real thing, but I did have fun playing Skee-Ball with DD. We both love Skee-Ball…probably b/c it’s the one game you can play and be guaranteed tickets for some cheesy little prize. Girlie got a Slinky with her winnings. That Slinky probably ended up costing a million dollars, LOL.

I won!

Pretty Puffs Slouchy hat

This hat was supposed to be for me. A cute slouchy one. Yea….that didn’t work out. Good thing there are little people around to gift things to! And I think I’m officially sick of that yarn. Time to move on. Me and Adrienne are starting a project soon…as soon as we can figure out how to do the stitch required! LOL.

Define “wordless”, hehe

In awe…
A few weeks ago, we went to a fall festival in a beautiful state park near us. This was on the hay ride through the park. We had a park guide along telling us cool facts about the area and we got to ride to the highest point in our city! This is the first year my children are really seeing and understanding Fall, I think.

Bring it!
We spend our time waiting for each other in the car by being goofy.

Not quite wordless Wednesday

 kids at the patch
Kids at “the pumpkin patch”.

Now, an update (and some bragging):

Saph-In 3rd grade now, just lost another tooth, loosing his nickname of “snaggle”. Still car obsessed. Having a much better time in school this year so far (thank goodness).

Ruby-1st grader and apparently one of the kindest children out there according to her teachers, other parents, and people we barely know. Budding artist and ballerina.

Em- Still saying the funniest things. People are always shocked to learn he is only 3. I tell them when you’re the youngest of three, you have no choice but to be a quick learner.
