Why I have few “school mom” friends…
Yesterday was field day which is always a blast.
School mom: “Your daughter is so cute, she looks like a dollbaby!”
Appropriate response: “Aw, thanks!” 
:-D
My response: *chuckle chuckle* “Yea, well, you know, it’s funny you should say that, b/c there is actually a doll with a name similar to hers, and so I bought her that doll b/c of the name similarity, and everything, and now she plays with it in the tub, and the others, she named after her friends, and, and, and…”
School mom: “….huh, interesting!” *runs away*

Guess they don’t want to have a real conversation. I could totally follow that story up with one about my dd and her dolls. Then our kids would play together and become best friends. It would be great!

One of the reasons why I wanted to move to the school district we’re in now is the hope that I will be around moms closer to my age. I was afraid in the other one, all of the moms would be years older than me and would be freaked out by me and my randomness as well. Here’s to random, cool moms!
