Be prepared…

School starts soon and so I have been getting everything in order for the upcoming year. Girlie is now old enough for Girl Scouts and we went down to the local office to register her. Somehow, I went from volunteering to help with crafts once in a while to signing on for troop leader. Eek! Apparently, there’s no Daisy troop at her school so we’re going to start one! I went to my first troop leader meeting last night and in the upcoming weeks I go for orientation and training. I was never a Girl Scout, so this is something new and interesting for me.

I swear, this is GS’s schtick. Everytime that X has been a part of the organization (except now), I have been talked into being a leader or co-leader. THREE TIMES!!! Now, though, (to the Amy Winehouse tune) “they tried to make me be a leader, and I said no, no, no.”

Good luck! Let us know how you like it.

Hope its a fun time. I loved my years in brownies/girl scouts.

How fun!! You’ll be great at it!

Cool! You will be the best troop leader ever because you’re actually awesome and will have great ideas for things the girls can do. Plus you’re a strong woman. Just what little girls need to look up to. What fun!

Hey Dee!

Maybe Payton will be assigned to your troop:) I mailed her registration in a few weeks ago, but haven’t heard anything back yet. If you can pull some strings…get her in your troop. Some of the Daisy troops are SCARY! Last year, I actually pulled Kiara out of her first troop and asked for her to be put in a new one. Our 2nd troop was awesome though. Hopefully Payton gets a good one! Good luck!

Jodi-Hah! We sing sooo many different words to the tune of “rehab”. It has a great hook, heh.

Anna-I hope so!

Tracy-I’m actually going there tomorrow. If I remember, I’ll ask about it.

I was a girl scout leader in Germany and loved it!
